Front Counter Sales Representative

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with product and service inquiries.
• Prepare quotes, explain options, and support sales decisions.
• Complete vehicle check-ins, including mileage, tire condition, and service details, outdoors in all weather.
• Look up parts, pricing, and availability using internal systems.
• Prepare invoices, process transactions, answer calls, and book appointments.
• Maintain accurate customer records and a clean, organized, safe work environment.
• Coordinate with the shop team to deliver a consistent customer experience.

Requirements

• Previous customer service and sales experience.
• Comfort working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong communication skills and a practical, customer-first approach.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift 30–50 pounds as required.
• Team-oriented approach and commitment to working safely.

Assets

• Interest in automotive products, tires, basic vehicle knowledge, or parts lookup is an asset.
• A valid driver's license is an asset.

Compensation

• The hourly wage is $21.06.

Schedule

• Shifts are scheduled within store operating hours and may include weekends.
• Store operating hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Workplace

• The role is based in Kal Tire stores in Ottawa and includes indoor and outdoor vehicle check-in work.
