Role Overview
Front Counter Sales Representative serving as the first point of contact in the store.
Temporary position with full-time hours for the duration of the contract.
The role supports customers with products, services, and a consistent store experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assist with product and service inquiries.
- Prepare quotes, explain options, and support sales decisions.
- Complete vehicle check-ins, including mileage, tire condition, and service details, outdoors in all weather.
- Look up parts, pricing, and availability using internal systems.
- Prepare invoices, process transactions, answer calls, book appointments, and maintain customer records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment while working with the shop team.
Requirements
- Previous customer service and sales experience is required.
- Automotive interest, tire or basic vehicle knowledge, or parts lookup experience is an asset.
- Comfort working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions is required.
- Strong communication, multitasking, teamwork, and safe-work practices are required.
- A valid driver's license is an asset, and the role may require lifting 30–50 lbs.
Compensation
- Hourly wage is $18.86.
Schedule
- Shifts are scheduled within store operating hours and may include weekends.
- The Cochrane store operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Workplace
- The position is based at the Kal Tire store at 239 Griffin Road East, Cochrane, Alberta.
- Vehicle check-ins may take place outdoors in all weather conditions.
