Front Counter Sales Representative

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and answer product and service inquiries.
• Prepare quotes, explain options, and support sales decisions.
• Complete vehicle check-ins, including mileage, tire condition, and service details, outdoors in all weather.
• Look up parts, pricing, and availability in internal systems.
• Prepare invoices, process transactions, answer calls, book appointments, and maintain customer records.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment and coordinate with the shop team.

Requirements

• Previous customer service and sales experience is required.
• Automotive interest or knowledge of tires, vehicles, or parts lookup is an asset.
• Strong communication, multitasking, teamwork, and safety-focused work habits are required.
• Candidates must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• The role requires lifting 30–50 lbs; a valid driver's license is an asset.

Compensation

• Hourly wage is $18.86.

Workplace and schedule

• The role is based in Calgary retail stores and includes physical store and vehicle check-in duties.
• Shifts are scheduled within store operating hours and may include weekends.
• Store openings are listed across Northwest, Northeast, Southwest, and Southeast Calgary.

Hiring process

• Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview and may be invited for a guided store and service-area tour.
• Candidates are considered for one location at a time and should apply to no more than two Kal Tire locations.
