Responsibilities
- Develop project specific lighting concepts for residential and commercial interiors
- Review architectural and interior design plans, create detailed lighting layouts, select fixtures, and prepare technical specifications and BOQs
- Coordinate with architects, interior designers, suppliers, and project managers to align designs with client vision, budget, and local regulations
- Provide on site guidance during installation and adjust designs based on field conditions
- Contribute to presentations, mood boards, and product selections that complement Al Hattab Trading’s premium offerings
Requirements
- Strong skills in Lighting Design and Architectural Lighting for residential and commercial spaces
- Practical expertise in Lighting Control and general Lighting systems, including fixture selection and layout planning
- Solid foundation in Interior Design principles to integrate lighting solutions with materials, finishes, and spatial planning
- Relevant experience in project based or freelance lighting design, ideally within ceramics, sanitary ware, or luxury interiors
- Proficiency with lighting design and visualization software (e.g., Dialux, Relux, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools)
- Strong technical understanding of lighting standards, energy efficiency, and local building regulations in Qatar or the GCC region
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Lighting Design, or a related field

Role Description
- This is on site Freelance Lighting Designer (Project Based) role based in Doha, Qatar.
- The Lighting Designer will develop project specific lighting concepts for residential and commercial interiors, ensuring solutions enhance aesthetics, functionality, and energy efficiency.
- Daily tasks include reviewing architectural and interior design plans, creating detailed lighting layouts, selecting fixtures, and preparing technical specifications and BOQs.
- The role involves coordinating with architects, interior designers, suppliers, and project managers.
- The Lighting Designer will also provide on site guidance during installation, adjust designs based on field conditions, and contribute to presentations, mood boards, and product selections.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Lighting Design and Architectural Lighting for residential and commercial spaces
- Virtual Presentations: Utilize the Kuula platform to create immersive 360° virtual tours
- Practical expertise in Lighting Control and general Lighting systems
- Solid foundation in Interior Design principles
- Relevant experience in project based or freelance lighting design
