Role Overview
The Fraud Business Analyst supports fraud-management initiatives by analyzing business needs and monitoring requirements, supporting operational readiness, and helping implement fraud controls and process improvements.
The role works with fraud management, operations, analytics, technology, business lines, and control partners to improve fraud prevention, detection, monitoring, resolution, efficiency, and client experience.
Responsibilities
- Analyze fraud risks, monitoring requirements, operational pain points, and control gaps.
- Document requirements, processes, user stories, workflows, procedures, and operational impacts.
- Support fraud-related technology enhancements, process changes, data enrichment, reporting improvements, and control uplift.
- Support solution design, testing, implementation, post-implementation support, and go-live readiness.
- Develop or review UAT scenarios, coordinate business sign-off, track defects, and validate solutions.
- Investigate operational issues, data-quality concerns, reporting gaps, system defects, and process exceptions.
- Prepare management updates, issue summaries, analyses, and recommendations.
- Maintain awareness of fraud trends, regulatory expectations, technology changes, and internal policies.
- Align day-to-day work with risk appetite, compliance obligations, conduct expectations, and control standards.
