The Role

  • We are seeking an experienced Franchise Development Manager to lead franchise expansion strategies, partner acquisition, and franchise development initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement franchise development strategies, expansion plans, market entry roadmaps, and growth initiatives aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue franchise opportunities through market research, territory analysis, lead generation, networking, referrals, and strategic partnerships.
  • Manage the end to end franchise recruitment process, including prospect qualification, presentations, financial evaluations, due diligence, negotiations, franchise agreements, and onboarding.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Training, Real Estate, Supply Chain, Customer Experience, and Executive Leadership to support franchise growth and successful market expansion.
  • Conduct demographic studies, competitive analysis, site selection assessments, and market feasibility studies to identify high potential franchise territories.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective franchisees, existing franchise partners, investors, brokers, consultants, and industry stakeholders.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including franchise sales, territory growth, franchisee satisfaction, new location openings, revenue growth, return on investment (ROI), and partner retention.
  • Support franchise onboarding, training coordination, operational readiness, and launch activities to ensure a smooth transition from agreement to opening.
  • Ensure compliance with franchise regulations, contractual obligations, brand standards, operational policies, disclosure requirements, and organizational governance.
  • Develop franchise presentations, business cases, financial models, territory reports, expansion forecasts, executive dashboards, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Utilize CRM platforms, franchise management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, project management software, GIS and territory mapping tools, and analytics platforms to monitor development activities and generate actionable insights.
  • Represent the organization at franchise expos, networking events, trade shows, business development meetings, and industry conferences to promote franchise opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Real Estate, Management, Hospitality, Retail Management, or a related field.
  • Master's degree (MBA preferred) or professional certifications in Franchise Management, Business Development, Sales Management, Project Management (PMP), or related disciplines are advantageous.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in franchise development, business development, sales, retail expansion, or related roles.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing franchise recruitment, territory expansion, or strategic business development initiatives preferred.
  • Strong understanding of franchise business models, franchise sales, market analysis, territory planning, contract negotiation, business development, and operational readiness.
  • Experience with CRM platforms, franchise management software, Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, project management tools, financial modeling applications, and territory mapping solutions.
  • Familiarity with franchise disclosure requirements, legal agreements, retail operations, site selection, digital lead generation, and multi unit business development is advantageous.
  • Strong leadership, communication, presentation, negotiation, relationship management, analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple franchise development initiatives while balancing growth objectives, partner satisfaction, compliance requirements, budgets, and organizational priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in remote and hybrid environments, with flexibility to travel for franchise meetings, site visits, expos, and business development activities as required.
