The Role

Customer Solutions

• Understand customer communications workflows, AI use cases, and integration challenges firsthand.
• Build and deploy AI voice assistants and implementations using Telnyx Voice, Messaging, Fax, Wireless, and WebRTC APIs.
• Run hosted or self-hosted open-weight models, including region-specific Arabic-language models, when customer requirements demand them.
• Deploy LiteLLM as a model gateway with routing, fallbacks, rate limits, retries, and virtual keys.
• Instrument LLM usage with cost controls, caching, logging, observability, and guardrails.
• Build production observability with metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerting.
• Design routing strategies for real-time voice workloads and adapt models with prompts, RAG pipelines, and evaluation harnesses.
• Lead POCs, pilots, and production launches, remain engaged through stabilization, and resolve integration issues.
• Create documentation and runbooks, and collaborate with Product and Engineering on roadmap decisions.

Required Qualifications

• Computer science degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years building and shipping production software, including on-call and debugging experience.
• Proficiency in multiple languages, including Python, Node.js or TypeScript, and Go.
• Production understanding of LLM rate limits, retries, streaming, token accounting, cost attribution, and concurrency failure modes.
• Experience deploying containerized services on Kubernetes with secrets management, configuration, and upgrades.
• Experience with observability tooling such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Graylog, ELK, or equivalent.
• High-concurrency experience with Kafka, message queues, or event streams.
• Experience building APIs with OpenAPI, REST or GraphQL, authentication, rate limiting, versioning, and idempotency.
• Customer-facing engineering experience and the ability to work independently in high-stakes technical conversations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Arabic.
• Based in Dubai or willing to relocate, able to work across customer sites in the UAE and GCC, and authorized to work in the UAE or eligible for sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI voice assistants, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, or LLM conversational systems.
• Experience with LiteLLM, Portkey, Kong AI Gateway, or an OpenAI-compatible proxy.
• Familiarity with open-weight models, Arabic-language models, sovereign AI, inference serving, SQL, ETL, CI/CD, telecom, CPaaS, or SaaS.
• Experience with sovereign or on-premises cloud deployments, UAE/GCC regulations, and security controls such as IAM, encryption, and audit logging.

Work Arrangement

• This is a hybrid role based in Dubai with travel across the UAE and broader GCC.
• The role includes working on customer sites and participating in high-stakes technical conversations.
