The Forward Deployed Engineer embeds directly with a client startup and owns a workstream end to end.
The role involves making technical decisions, committing to timelines, and delivering outcomes for the client founder.
The position requires value from week one and autonomy comparable to a senior engineer.
Core Work
- Own technical design for projects of moderate to high complexity.
- Debug deeply within client systems and ship reliable launches.
- Deliver software outcomes with support from Lyra's broader engineering bench.
What We're Looking For
- At least 2-5 years of experience in a similar role at a startup or software company.
- High proficiency in full-stack engineering with Next.js, TypeScript, and/or Python.
- Curiosity, strong problem-solving ability, and comfort working with incomplete information.
