About North and the Role

Location and Travel

• The role is based in the UK and is remote-friendly.
• Travel of up to 20–40% is required for on-site work with customers and partners.
• Cohere provides office access, co-working support, and a home office stipend.

Responsibilities

• Deploy North end-to-end in private cloud and on-premises environments through planning, configuration, testing, and rollout.
• Assess customer infrastructure, security requirements, and data management practices with enterprise IT teams.
• Design deployment strategies tailored to client needs and data privacy and security standards.
• Troubleshoot deployment issues and provide timely solutions to minimize downtime.
• Experiment rapidly while maintaining quality and delivering customer-focused solutions.
• Travel to customer and partner sites as required.

Core Qualifications

• Experience working directly with customers and deploying enterprise software in private or hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience administering large-scale production Kubernetes clusters and using Helm.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Git version control.
• Strong expertise in Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud infrastructure, networking, and virtualization.
• Ability to execute effectively in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.
• Fluency in French.

Bonus Qualifications

• Active DV clearance is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with GPU node orchestration and scheduling.
• Understanding of GPU infrastructure, inference systems, Kubernetes, distributed systems, and performance optimization.
