The Role
The Forward Deployed Engineer embeds with customers to take an agent from an idea grounded in real work to production deployment.
The role combines engineering, AI, hands-on customer delivery, workflow understanding, agent development, integration, and governance.
The position is intended for engineers who want to work close to customers and measurable business impact.
What You Will Do
- Embed with customer teams to understand target workflows, including exceptions and rework.
- Deploy observation software and convert observed work into clear agent specifications.
- Author and validate agent operating procedures, decision logic, rules, and escalation paths.
- Build, integrate, and configure agents in enterprise systems with guardrails and human oversight.
- Drive calibration, user acceptance testing, and shadow-mode validation through production go-live.
