Role Overview
The Forward Deployed AI Product Manager connects health system clients with engineering teams to turn healthcare workflows into AI-powered solutions.
The role combines product management, implementation consulting, and pre- and post-sales engineering responsibilities.
The role supports clients across clinical informatics, IT, and operations, including C-suite stakeholders.
Client Engagement and Discovery
- Serve as the primary product contact and trusted advisor for a portfolio of health system clients.
- Lead interviews, workflow mapping, shadowing, and document analysis to identify automation opportunities and unmet needs.
- Help clients connect operational pain points to AI platform capabilities.
Solution Design and Scoping
- Review pre-sales Statements of Work for scope, feasibility, and design alignment before customer signature.
- Translate scheduling, outreach, referrals, prior authorization, and billing workflows into structured requirements.
- Own Autopilot design and specification documents and define business success metrics.
- Enforce agreed scope during UAT and route change requests through the Sales or Account team.
