Role Overview

The Forward Deployed AI Integrator is dedicated to AI integration for an assigned region.

The role embeds with regional Field Engineering teams to identify workflow opportunities and turn successful experiments into repeatable standards.

This is a hands-on execution role measured by transformed workflows, engineering hours saved, and adoption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, prioritize, and accelerate high-value AI workflow opportunities with regional Field Engineering teams.
  • Drive adoption of AI-assisted workflows for investigations, reporting, operational analysis, and engineering tooling.
  • Replace manual workflows with scalable, reusable AI-enabled solutions.
  • Build and document reusable workflow patterns, templates, and operational playbooks.
  • Partner with GenAI platform and internal tooling teams on approved initiatives.
  • Coach engineers on practical approved AI tools, including Python-based tooling, Kiro, and internal AI platforms.
  • Track adoption metrics and operational KPIs for regional and senior leadership.
  • Share reusable capabilities, learning, patterns, and outcomes across Field Engineering regions.
  • Support waveform analytics, reporting automation, engineering tooling, and operational dashboard initiatives.

Day-to-Day Environment

  • The role works alongside engineers during live investigations and helps prototype AI-assisted solutions.
  • The integrator is accountable for making AI integration practical and measurable within the regional team.

About the Team

AWS Field Engineering supports operational investigations, electrical and mechanical systems, tooling development, reporting, commissioning, troubleshooting, operational analytics, and process improvement.

The position is one of three initial regional AI integration roles intended to scale the model across Field Engineering regions.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above in ML Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in technical program management, workflow automation, or operational analytics.
  • Experience with GenAI platforms, agentic tooling, or AI-enabled operational workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in large-scale infrastructure, operational engineering, or data center environments.
  • Experience embedding with operational teams to drive hands-on workflow transformation.
  • Experience in engineering investigations, reporting automation, or workflow acceleration initiatives.
  • Experience working in or supporting the EMEA region and other global regions.
  • Ability to drive adoption and change within a technical team without direct authority.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for engineering and leadership audiences.
