Role Overview

The Forward Deployed AI Integrator is dedicated to AI integration within an assigned regional Field Engineering team.

The role identifies workflow opportunities, drives hands-on adoption of AI-assisted tooling, and turns successful experiments into repeatable regional standards.

Success is measured by workflows transformed, engineering hours saved, and adoption driven.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and prioritize high-value AI workflow opportunities with regional Field Engineering teams.
  • Drive adoption of AI-assisted workflows across investigations, reporting, operational analysis, and engineering tooling.
  • Replace manual workflows with scalable, reusable AI-enabled solutions.
  • Build and document reusable workflow patterns, templates, and operational playbooks.
  • Coordinate with GenAI platform and internal tooling teams on approved deployment environments.
  • Coach engineers on Python-based tooling, Kiro, and internal AI platforms.
  • Track adoption metrics and operational KPIs for regional and senior leadership.
  • Share reusable capabilities, learning, patterns, and outcomes across regional teams.
  • Support waveform analytics, reporting automation, engineering tooling, and operational dashboards.

Working Context

  • The role is hands-on and embedded in the regional Field Engineering team rather than advisory.
  • Daily work includes live investigations, automation-pattern development, workflow-adoption coaching, and prototyping AI-assisted solutions.
  • The role is accountable for making AI integration practical and measurable within the region.

About Field Engineering

AWS Field Engineering supports operational investigations, electrical and mechanical systems, tooling development, reporting, commissioning, troubleshooting, operational analytics, and process improvement.

The team is building AI-enabled workflows to improve operational efficiency and accelerate engineering execution.

The position is one of three initial regional AI integration roles intended to scale the model across Field Engineering regions.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Machine Learning Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in technical program management, workflow automation, or operational analytics.
  • Experience with generative AI platforms, agentic tooling, or AI-enabled operational workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in large-scale infrastructure, operational engineering, or data-center environments.
  • Experience embedding with operational teams to drive hands-on workflow transformation.
  • Experience in engineering investigations, reporting automation, or workflow acceleration.
  • Experience supporting EMEA and other global regions.
  • Ability to drive adoption and change without direct authority.
  • Strong written and verbal communication for technical and leadership audiences.
