The Role
The role is a forward-deployed engineering position serving Justice and Community Safety customers in Melbourne.
The engineer will embed with customer teams, solve complex data problems and design, adapt and deploy the Matilda stack.
The role requires technical credibility with senior staff, rapid prototyping ability and rigorous delivery into classified environments.
What You Will Do
- Embed with Victorian Justice and Emergency Services customers to identify mission outcomes for the Matilda stack.
- Turn loosely defined requirements into concrete technical plans.
- Design, fine-tune, evaluate and deploy systems against customer data.
- Deploy systems in on-premises, air-gapped and classified environments.
- Own delivery from data pipelines and fine-tuning through retrieval-augmented generation, evaluation, MLOps and security hardening.
