Full-time, onsite, individual-contributor role for a Forward Deployed AI Engineer in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The role designs, builds, and operates production-grade agentic AI solutions in a complex operational environment.

The initial assignment is 12 months, with potential extension.

The role is onsite in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The position requires direct work with business stakeholders and engineering teams from requirements through production support.

Translate complex business and operational challenges into practical AI solutions and determine when AI is not appropriate.
Design and build enterprise-grade agentic AI applications with reasoning, tool orchestration, context management, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
Develop production RAG solutions covering ingestion, vector search, retrieval optimization, grounding, and source traceability.
Integrate AI agents with enterprise systems using MCP, REST/OpenAPI, webhooks, messaging, and event-driven architectures.
Build reusable AI services and components that scale across business domains.
Apply LLM engineering practices including tool calling, validation, retries, fallbacks, guardrails, and error recovery.
Own solution quality across testing, evaluation, observability, security, performance, reliability, and cost.
Work with product owners, architects, engineers, and business stakeholders throughout delivery.
Contribute to multi-agent architectures, evaluation frameworks, code reviews, production troubleshooting, and operational best practices.

Strong hands-on experience building production-grade software and generative AI, LLM, or agentic AI solutions.
Experience taking AI applications from requirements and design through deployment and production support.
Strong Python skills plus at least one of TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, or C#.
Practical experience with MCP and modern agent orchestration frameworks or enterprise AI platforms.
Strong understanding of APIs, asynchronous programming, typed data validation, CI/CD, testing, source control, logging, and error handling.
Experience with vector databases or search platforms and production RAG.
Experience integrating enterprise systems and deploying containerized applications in cloud environments.
Strong judgment around reliability, latency, security, governance, performance, and cost.
Excellent English communication skills and experience working in international, cross-functional teams.

Experience in aviation, transportation, logistics, supply chain, cargo, customer service, or other complex operational environments is advantageous.
Additional valuable experience includes classical machine learning, data science, full-stack development, Voice AI, workflow automation, CRM integrations, multilingual AI, AI evaluation frameworks, and multi-agent architectures.
