Role Overview
The Forklift Operator prepares and ships outgoing shipments, organizes inventory, supports production, and maintains warehouse operations on the second shift.
The role includes operating forklifts and checking equipment and products to support quality production.
Core Responsibilities
- Schedule shipments and plan logistics to maintain storage capacity for incoming production items.
- Use an RF scanner to pick orders, verify customer orders, and load finished goods into trailers according to purchase orders.
- Receive deliveries, distribute packages and mail, prepare shipping reports, and troubleshoot shipping issues.
- Operate forklifts, pack and lift merchandise, organize warehouse space, and maintain inventory.
- Operate palletizing equipment and stretch wrappers while maintaining required materials, records, and logs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- One to three years of food or beverage production experience is preferred.
