GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Using material handling equipment, loads and unloads trucks, locates, and picks material into/out of warehouse racks, between locations, and delivers to supported shops.
• Safely operates assigned material handling equipment. Ensures that all equipment in use has been inspected and is in safe operating condition. Reports all accidents and unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Determines accurate material quantities by hand counting, use of counting scales, and use of vendor labels on sealed containers.
• Uses bar code computers to receive material into inventory, move material by quantity between designated locations, and locate/pick material to/from warehouse locations as required. Ensures accurate part number, quantity, and other data fields entries that impact electronic records of receipts, inventories, location; Resolves discrepancies with material quantities, part numbers.
• Locates parts ensuring that pallets are stable, observing pallet heights, material, racking, and equipment are not damaged, and material is not left in aisles.
• Consolidates parts by part number within the warehouse as directed.
• Complies with domestic and international shipping requirements to include laws, rates, and paperwork requirements for parcel shipments.
• Utilizes computer equipment for data entry, data retrieval, and analysis of data to solve work-related problems, and communicate with other associates.
• Stages parts from supermarkets into bins and carts per a pull report or other instructions and delivers carts to point of use.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains safe and productive work environment by assuring the work area is clear of items that may present a hazard.
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
• Must be able to work overtime as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

• Education:
• High School Diploma/Equivalent required.
• Experience:
• A minimum of 3 years of forklift and warehouse operations experience is required.

• Requires occasional lifting of objects of objects 25 to 50 pounds.
• Work involves activities that require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, or vehicles.
