Rogers Group is currently seeking an individual for the Foreman position in our quarry in Springdale, Arkansas.

This position will report directly to the Plant Manager.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead safety, quality, and revenue generation throughout our existing operations and additional operations through growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an operation with approximately 22 employees.
  • Efficiently supervise production of a 1.2M Tons Per Year operation.
  • Ensure the pit and mine activities are achieved to plan specifications.
  • Control costs to meet budgets and reduce costs to achieve savings.
  • Identify deficiencies and implement a plan for continuous improvement.
  • Effectively manage staff by setting clear performance objectives, providing regular feedback, and providing development through training.
  • Ensure compliance with all Company and Government policies and regulations.
  • Direct mine and pit planning.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting.
  • Actively reaching out and being involved in the local community.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in mining engineering, or similar is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in operations and engineering as well as significant experience in aggregate processing procedures and surface quarrying.
  • Working knowledge of AggQC and AggFlow is a plus.
  • Knowledge of profit and loss statements and an understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Office and the ability to rapidly learn different software applications.
  • Possess strong basic math knowledge.
  • Basic understanding of surveying and mapping skills are a plus.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills are necessary.
  • Proven safety record and excellent compliance in MSHA safety standards.
  • Ability to develop strong leadership at the lead person and foreman level.
  • Working knowledge of environmental policies, standards, and best practices.
