Project: Diaphragm Wall (Scarborough Subway Extension)
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Foreman is responsible for coordinating daily site activities, leading and developing crew members, maintaining productivity and quality standards, and ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with project requirements.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in ground improvement and/or deep foundations, strong leadership skills, and the ability to effectively coordinate people, equipment, materials, and changing site conditions.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and supervise field crews performing ground improvement and/or deep foundation activities.
- Plan and coordinate daily work activities in collaboration with the Superintendent, Project Manager, and other site personnel.
- Ensure crews, equipment, materials, and subcontractors are organized and available to meet project requirements and schedules.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance and direction to crew members.
- Monitor productivity, quality, and progress against project plans and schedules.
- Read and interpret project drawings, specifications, work plans, and other technical documents.
- Complete and review daily reports, production records, equipment inspections, and other required documentation.
- Identify and communicate potential safety, quality, equipment, or production issues and assist in developing solutions.
- Promote and enforce compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Conduct toolbox talks and participate in daily safety meetings.
- Coordinate equipment requirements, maintenance needs, and material deliveries.
