Food Services Supervisor - Lobby Lounge

Position Overview

Service Operations

• Ensure staff work together to provide optimum service and meet guest needs.
• Complete opening and closing duties, including setup, cleaning, equipment care, and securing areas.
• Inspect storage areas for organization, FIFO use, and cleanliness.
• Complete inventories and requisition necessary supplies.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and guest well-being.
• Complete maintenance work orders.

People and Guest Support

• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
• Serve as a role model and first point of contact for the fair treatment and open-door process.
• Welcome guests, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests.
• Communicate clearly and professionally and maintain positive working relationships.

Standards and Safety

• Follow company, safety, and security policies and procedures and report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
• Complete safety training and certifications and maintain clean, professional grooming and attire.
• Protect confidential information and company assets and support quality, efficiency, productivity, safety, and cost improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
• At least 2 years of related work experience is preferred.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred.
• No license or certification is specified.

Physical Requirements

• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Work in narrow, confined, or elevated spaces and move up and down stairs or service ramps.
• Reach overhead and below the knees and perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Schedule and Workplace

• The schedule is full time.
• The position is not remote and is based at the Palm Jumeirah property in Dubai.
