Position Details
Food Services Supervisor role in the Food and Beverage and Culinary category at Palm Jumeirah, Dubai.
The position is full time, non-management, and not remote.
Core Responsibilities
- Coordinate staff teamwork to ensure optimal service and meet guest needs.
- Inspect staff grooming and attire and correct deficiencies.
- Complete opening and closing procedures, including supply organization, cleaning, and securing areas.
- Inspect storage organization, cleanliness, and FIFO usage.
- Complete inventories and order or replenish supplies.
- Monitor seating, service, safety, and guest well-being in dining areas.
- Prepare maintenance work orders for repairs.
- Support management with hiring, training, organization, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
- Welcome guests, communicate professionally, and respond to employee concerns.
Desired Qualifications
- Secondary school diploma or GED certificate is desirable.
- At least two years of related work experience is desirable.
- At least one year of supervisory experience is desirable.
- No license or certification is specified.
Physical and Safety Requirements
- Follow company safety policies, report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, or injuries, and complete safety training and certifications.
- Lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than 50 pounds or 22.5 kilograms without assistance.
- Stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods and move through stairs, ramps, confined spaces, and elevated areas.
- Visually inspect information, tools, equipment, and machines and manipulate objects requiring fine motor coordination.
