Position Summary
Coordinate food service staff to provide optimum service and meet guest needs.
Support dining-room operations, guest service, inventory control, staff coordination, and workplace standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Inspect staff grooming and attire and correct deficiencies.
- Complete opening and closing duties, including supplies setup, cleaning, equipment checks, and securing doors.
- Inspect storage areas for organization, FIFO use, and cleanliness.
- Complete scheduled inventories and requisition necessary supplies.
- Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and guest well-being.
- Complete maintenance work orders.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
- Follow company, safety, and security policies; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
- Welcome guests, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests appropriately.
- Maintain professional communication, confidentiality, positive working relationships, and team cooperation.
- Maintain quality standards and recommend or implement improvements in efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost savings.
- Perform physical duties including extended standing or walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, stair and ramp movement, and bending or reaching.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
- At least 2 years of related work experience is preferred.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred.
- No license or certification is specified.
Schedule
- The position is scheduled as full time.
Workplace
- The role is based at the St. Regis location in Palm Jumeirah, Dubai.
- The position is not remote and involves direct dining-room, storage-area, equipment, and guest-service duties.
