Position Summary
The Food Services Supervisor ensures staff work together to provide optimum service and meet guest needs.
The role oversees dining-room service, supplies, storage, opening and closing duties, maintenance requests, and staff standards.
The position is based at The Palm Jumeirah in Dubai and is scheduled full time.
Operational Responsibilities
- Inspect staff grooming and attire, complete opening and closing duties, and maintain clean and organised equipment and areas.
- Inspect storage areas for organisation, FIFO use, and cleanliness; complete inventories and requisition supplies.
- Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and guest wellbeing, and complete maintenance work orders.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counselling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
Guest and Team Standards
- Welcome guests, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, maintain positive working relationships, and support team goals.
- Follow quality, safety, security, confidentiality, uniform, and asset-protection standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
- At least 2 years of related work experience is preferred.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred.
- The role requires extended standing, walking, reaching, bending, and handling objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
