Food Services Supervisor

Position Summary

Core Responsibilities

• Inspect staff grooming and attire and correct deficiencies.
• Complete opening and closing duties, including setup, cleaning, and securing areas.
• Inspect storage areas for organization, FIFO compliance, and cleanliness.
• Complete scheduled inventories and requisition necessary supplies.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and guest well-being.
• Complete maintenance repair work orders.
• Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Follow safety and security policies, report incidents and unsafe conditions, and complete required training.
• Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, and protection of company assets.
• Welcome guests, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests.
• Maintain clear professional communication and positive working relationships.
• Identify and implement improvements to efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost savings.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
• At least two years of related work experience is preferred.
• At least two years of supervisory experience is preferred.
• No license or certification is specified.

Workplace and Physical Requirements

• The position is based at the JW Marriott property in Doha, Qatar.
• The role requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• The role requires moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• The role requires fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, bending, twisting, reaching, and movement through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• The role requires moving up and down stairs or service ramps.

Schedule

• The schedule is full time.
