Position Information

Food Services Supervisor position in the Food and Beverage and Culinary department at a St. Regis property in Palm Jumeirah, Dubai.

The position is full time and non-management according to the source description.

The role oversees dining service, staff coordination, inventory, guest care, and restaurant operating standards.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate staff teamwork, inspect grooming and attire, and ensure guest needs are met.
  • Complete opening and closing duties, including setup, cleaning, equipment checks, and securing doors.
  • Inspect storage areas, maintain FIFO practices, complete inventories, and requisition supplies.
  • Monitor dining rooms for seating, service, safety, and guest well-being.
  • Complete maintenance work orders and assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, and coaching.
  • Follow safety and security procedures, report accidents and unsafe conditions, and complete required training.
  • Welcome guests, address service needs, assist people with disabilities, and maintain professional communication.
  • Identify and implement improvements to efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost savings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
  • At least two years of related work experience is preferred.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience is preferred.
  • No license or certification is listed.

Workplace and Physical Demands

  • The role is performed on site in a hotel dining and service environment in Dubai.
  • The work requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods or an entire work shift.
  • The role requires moving through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces and using stairs or service ramps.
  • The role requires lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • The role requires bending, twisting, reaching, and fine motor coordination when handling objects of varying sizes and weights.
