Position Overview

Food Services Supervisor role in the Food and Beverage & Culinary department at Palm Jumeirah.

Core Responsibilities

  • Coordinate staff teamwork to ensure optimum service and meet guest needs.
  • Inspect grooming and attire, correct deficiencies, and maintain professional standards.

  • Inspect storage areas for organization, FIFO use, and cleanliness.
  • Complete inventories and requisition necessary supplies.
  • Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and guest well-being.
  • Complete maintenance work orders.
  • Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
  • Follow company, safety, and security policies; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
  • Welcome guests, address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and provide genuine appreciation.
  • Maintain positive working relationships and support common team goals.
  • Identify and implement improvements to efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost savings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of related work experience is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred.
  • No license or certification is specified.

  • The position is scheduled as full time.

Physical Requirements

The role requires extended standing, sitting, or walking during a work shift.

The role requires moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
