Role Description
- This is a full time on site role for a Food Service Dietitian, based in Ajman.
- The Dietitian will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of therapeutic diets within a hospital catering environment.
- The role focuses on ensuring accurate execution of physician prescribed diet orders, supervising meal preparation, and maintaining compliance with hospital nutrition standards and food safety regulations.
- Key tasks will include reviewing and approving menus according to diet codes (Diabetic, Renal, Dash, IDDSI, etc.), conducting tray audits, coordinating with kitchen and healthcare teams, and ensuring quality control in food production and meal distribution processes.
- This role does not involve direct patient assessment or nutritional counseling.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field; professional certification is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic diet systems and hospital diet codes
- Experience in hospital food service or healthcare catering operations
- Familiarity with HACCP and food safety standards
