Role overview
The Food Service Assistant provides food and beverage service and supports a friendly, professional hospitality experience.
The role involves customer service, teamwork, regulatory compliance and cleanliness across kitchen and dining areas.
Responsibilities
- Serve food and beverages and respond efficiently to guest needs and requests.
- Provide attentive service, answer questions and address concerns in a friendly manner.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support smooth operations and an inclusive, safe workplace.
- Comply with health and safety regulations and location-specific catering guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in kitchen and dining areas.
Experience and attributes
- Passion for food and/or customer service.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an inclusive team environment.
- Ability to adapt to challenges with a solution-oriented perspective.
- Some knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Previous similar food service experience is a plus, but the description encourages motivated candidates who do not meet every requirement.
