Food Safety Officer

Position Summary

Security and Safety Duties

• Conduct emergency response drills, daily physical hazard and safety inspections, investigations, interviews, and key control audits.
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems.
• Authorize, monitor, and document access to secured areas.
• Respond to accidents, contact EMS, or administer first aid and CPR as required.
• Gather information and complete reports while maintaining document confidentiality.
• Defuse disturbances, resolve safety hazards, handle complaints, and escort unwelcome persons from the property.
• Ensure compliance with alcoholic beverage control laws and use proper emergency code responses.

Guest and Employee Support

• Assist management in training, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate service needs, and address complaints.
• Communicate professionally and support positive working relationships and team goals.
• Prepare and review written documents accurately and use computers or point-of-sale systems.

Physical and Policy Requirements

• Follow company policies and procedures, complete safety training, report accidents and unsafe conditions, and protect company assets.
• Read and visually verify information, inspect equipment, and work across stairs, ramps, confined spaces, and uneven surfaces.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds independently or over 75 pounds with assistance.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related work experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Some states may require additional licensing or registration.
• No license or certification is listed in the qualification field.
