Position details

Food & Beverage - Trainee Executive in the Food and Beverage & Culinary category.

The position is full time and classified as non-management.

The role is based at the Mumbai hotel location and is not remote.

Guest and meal service

  • Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests and answer questions about menu selections.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, wait times, recooked orders, and product availability.
  • Communicate allergies, dietary needs, additional meal requirements, and special requests to the kitchen.
  • Follow cycle-time guidelines for all meals.

Dining area standards

  • Maintain clean work areas throughout the day.
  • Inspect the cleanliness and presentation of china, glassware, and silverware before use.
  • Maintain assigned tables, clear courses, and crumb tables properly.
  • Communicate with guests and employees and support teamwork for optimum service.

Team and compliance

  • Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
  • Welcome guests, assist individuals with disabilities, anticipate service needs, and respond with genuine appreciation.
  • Follow company, safety, and security policies, report incidents and unsafe conditions, and complete safety training.
  • Maintain professional appearance, protect company assets, preserve confidential information, and meet quality standards.

Preferred qualifications

  • A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of related work experience is preferred.
  • No supervisory experience or license or certification is specified.
  • The role requires extended standing, walking, and moving objects up to 25 pounds without assistance and over 50 pounds with assistance.
