JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JOB DUTIES - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
An Engineer VI serves as a principal investigator and individual contributor to contract research, development, integration, and sustainment projects.
Employee will be responsible for the following functions/duties:
Develop and apply advanced methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and difficult system design requirements and problems
Conduct investigations of considerable complexity
Provide technical consultation to other organizations or customers
Direct interface with internal and external customers at all levels from quotation to final design and test activities, design reviews, and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications
Plan, conduct, and technically direct projects or major phases of significant projects requiring the expert application of advanced knowledge
Review completion and implementation of systems additions and/or enhancements and recommend corrections in technical application and analysis to management
Represent the company as technical advisor in high-level meetings and briefings with company and customer personnel
Prepare, deliver, and submit technical papers and perform engineering studies
Support development of technical proposals and provide comments on the technical content and level of effort of the proposed scope of work
Act as a company/industry expert resource on the most complex engineering problems
Maintain technical project responsibility for assigned tasks and advise management of progress in support of the technical and administrative direction of project operations

RANGE POSITION DESCRIPTION
JT4 is seeking a senior engineer with extensive experience in Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E) and specialized skills in the following areas:
Integration of Developmental Test (DT), Operational Test (OT), and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP) development requirements into a cohesive strategic execution plan.
Experience in creating a strategic execution plan that incorporates OT-informed DT test strategies to prioritize, develop, test, verify, and deliver incremental combat capabilities through a framework known as Prioritized-Incremental-Integrated-Capability (PIIC).
The role will involve strategic planning and integration of F-47 test activities, coordination of test venues, collaboration with stakeholders, status reporting, and briefings to DT, OT, and ACC leadership. Additionally, the candidate will direct the operational standup of the Combined Test Force (CTF).
Full knowledge of DoD and DAF standards and policies for both DT and OT is essential. The position requires coordination among Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams across ACC, the Agile Development Program Office, Prime Contractor, DT, OT, and TTP Development organizations. The goal is to create a long-term execution schedule that aligns with the program’s PIIC milestones and encompasses the entire test program, including Envelope Expansion and Mission Systems testing for this major ACAT-1 acquisition program, which is on the DOT&E oversight list. The role will also involve instructing and evaluating Test Conductor and Test Director trainees.
REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE
A Master of Science in Engineering from an accredited academic institution and 16 years of related engineering experience, or an accredited doctorate degree in engineering and a minimum of 12 years of related engineering experience are required for this position.
In addition, an Engineer VI must possess the following qualifications:
A well-established, substantial, professional reputation in one or more of the principal technical disciplines of the company
Demonstrated ability to direct senior technical personnel in project assignments involving research, development, integration, and sustainment of complex systems or processes
Superior communications skills, both verbal and written, in day-to-day project activities as well as in briefing customers and in writing reports and proposals
Working knowledge of computer systems and computer-based engineering tools
Must possess a valid, state issued driver’s license
Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance
Must be a U.S. citizen
SALARY
The expected salary range for this position is $145,000 to $185,000 annually.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in a typical office environment with no unusual hazards. Occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds), constant sitting with occasional use of computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness are required.
Travel to remote company work locations may be required.
