Job Summary
The Flight Control Systems IPT Head leads an Integrated Product Team supporting the development, integration, validation, and certification of aircraft flight control systems.
Program and Team Leadership
- Lead the Flight Control Systems Integrated Product Team and align work with aircraft program milestones.
- Own scope, schedule, cost, quality, and technical delivery for Flight Control Systems programs.
- Coordinate across aerodynamics, structures, avionics, software, systems, integration, and verification and validation teams.
- Interface with customers, suppliers, program stakeholders, certification authorities, and engineering representatives.
- Lead distributed onsite and offshore engineering teams and manage technical risks and dependencies.
Flight Control Engineering
- Define architecture for fly-by-wire or fly-by-light systems, actuation systems, sensors, and associated interfaces.
- Lead control law development, stability and control analysis, flight dynamics modeling, gain scheduling, and redundancy management.
- Develop system requirement documents, simulation models, and interface control documents.
- Drive fail-safe, fail-operational, fault-tolerant, and redundant flight control system architectures.
