Role overview
Manage the performance, engagement, retention, and relations of brokers and their trucks at Day & Ross.
The role is full-time and based in Surrey, British Columbia.
How you’ll help
- Ensure company, broker, and driver adherence to broker agreements, SOPs, and safety requirements.
- Monitor driver speed, HOS violations, MVI, and MMR with the Compliance team.
- Resolve broker and driver issues while maintaining engagement and satisfaction.
- Manage truck revenue, productivity targets, company standards, and contract obligations.
- Investigate repeat late deliveries, load refusals, and SOP non-compliance.
- Manage broker and driver time off in the system.
- Support recruiting through job requests, interviews, and onboarding.
- Set up new units and drivers with equipment, documents, applications, and decals.
- Conduct orientations and work with Safety on driver training.
- Manage at-risk drivers and brokers, schedules, drug-test compliance, and payment concerns.
- Liaise among drivers, brokers, Safety, Compliance, Recruiting, and Operations.
Skills and experience
- Completion of secondary education is preferred; post-secondary logistics or business training is an asset.
- A suitable combination of education and experience may be considered.
