Role Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Fishing & Remedial Specialist for a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, Qatar.
In this role, you will oversee operations involving fishing, wellbore cleanout, well abandonment, and remedial services.
Responsibilities include operating and maintaining fishing tools, performing thorough technical assessments, and collaborating with teams to ensure project success.
You will also provide expertise in well intervention and remedial operations, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards while meeting client objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing fishing and remedial operations in drilling, completion, and workover environments
- Support retrieval operations for stuck or lost tools, pipe, and other downhole equipment
- Participate in section milling and casing/liner milling operations
- Provide on-site technical support at rig locations (onshore and offshore) under the guidance of senior personnel
- Collaborate with drilling, completion, and well intervention teams to help improve operational performance
- Follow all QHSE standards and WIS procedures during job preparation and execution
- To be successful in this role you need:
- General knowledge in Oil & Gas services (previous experience Surface logging, or MWD, or Bit Runner Specialist or Directional Drilling or wireline specialists or coiled tubing specialist)
- Strong commitment to safety, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Great English communication skills (read, written and oral)
- Additional experiences:
- Experience or exposure to section milling (single and dual)
- Experience in fishing
- Experience with completion recovery operations
- Familiarity with P&A activity (cut and pull, casing/liner milling)
- Knowledge of whipstock operations
- Previous field experience in well intervention, fishing, or related services is highly desirable
- Willingness and ability to work on-site in MENA region
