Role Overview
The position is for a Fishmonger responsible for preparing and handling fish and seafood products.
The role includes customer assistance, product quality checks, stock monitoring, and maintaining a clean work area.
Compensation
- Pay is QAR 1,300 to QAR 1,600 per month.
Workplace
- The work location is in person.
- The role requires working in a cold and wet environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, clean, cut, fillet, and prepare different types of fish and seafood.
- Store, chill, and display fish and seafood properly.
- Remove scales, bones, and unwanted parts according to customer requirements.
- Prepare portions and cuts requested by customers or supervisors.
- Check the freshness and quality of fish and seafood.
- Maintain clean knives, cutting boards, equipment, and display counters.
- Follow food safety, health, and hygiene procedures.
- Assist customers with information about fish and seafood products.
- Monitor stock and report damaged, spoiled, or low-stock items.
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Previous Fishmonger or Seafood Cutter experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of fish cleaning, cutting, and filleting techniques is required.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices is required.
- The candidate must be physically fit and able to stand for long periods.
- Good teamwork and customer service skills are required.
