Manual testing is insufficient as devices and firmware scale.
The role aims to find firmware failures in the lab before they reach the field.
The work will improve observability, reduce deployment risk, and increase confidence in firmware releases.
Responsibilities
- Test functional device firmware behavior on real hardware.
- Run continuous-loop and long-duration tests to validate stability.
- Test behavior across resets, power cycles, and firmware upgrades.
- Identify failures, inconsistencies, and regressions.
- Report issues and work with firmware engineers to debug and resolve them.
- Capture, analyze, and interpret device logs and test outputs.
- Build and maintain hardware-in-the-loop test setups.
