Role Overview
Dozee is hiring a Firmware Test Engineer with 2–3 years of hands-on firmware or embedded systems experience.
The role validates device behavior on real hardware and investigates failures, regressions, and reliability issues.
The engineer will grow into test automation, hardware-in-the-loop setups, and firmware CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Test device firmware on real hardware, including continuous-loop and long-duration stability testing.
- Validate behavior across resets, power cycles, firmware upgrades, and field-like scenarios.
- Identify failures and regressions, analyze logs and test outputs, and work with firmware engineers on resolution.
- Build and maintain HIL test setups, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and improve test coverage and execution time.
- Own specific test areas or workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Have 2–3 years of experience in firmware, embedded systems, or a related field.
- Understand embedded systems and firmware behavior and be able to work hands-on with hardware.
- Use Python for tests and tooling and understand firmware behavior through basic C or C++ familiarity.
- Have experience with UART, USB, BLE, or similar device interfaces and a Linux development environment.
