Role Overview
Own end-to-end software and firmware architecture for humanoid robots and autonomous drones using edge-AI SoMs from NVIDIA, Qualcomm, and MediaTek.
Define compute architecture, real-time control, perception, AI, and autonomy systems while coordinating with electronics, mechanical, and mechatronics teams.
Architect Responsibilities
- Define reusable architecture spanning firmware, real-time control, middleware, autonomy, and AI or perception layers.
- Partition workloads across heterogeneous SoMs, CPUs, GPUs, NPUs, DSPs, and companion microcontrollers or flight controllers.
- Design humanoid control for actuation, balance, and locomotion and UAV control for flight, stabilization, and navigation.
- Establish deterministic interfaces using EtherCAT, CAN or CAN-FD, SPI, UART, PX4 or MAVLink, and DroneCAN or UAVCAN.
- Define ROS 2, DDS, PX4 or ArduPilot, and real-time Linux integration strategies.
- Architect sensor fusion, autonomy, safety, connectivity, security, OTA, logging, simulation, testing, and release processes.
- Mentor junior engineers, provide technical direction, and support hiring and technology evaluation.
Architect Required Experience
- At least 4 years of embedded software or firmware experience with architecture ownership on complex real-time systems.
