Responsibilities
- Prepare and finalize comprehensive Fire Fighting engineering submittal packages including shop drawings, hydraulic calculation reports, and material compliance data sheets
- Work with draftspersons/BIM modelers to produce accurate Fire Fighting drawings
- Execute and validate hydraulic analysis, piping network sizing, and pump calculations
- Represent the company in technical coordination meetings with contractors, consultants, and clients
- Ensure all packages comply with NFPA standards and UAE Fire and Life Safety Code for Civil Defence approvals

Role Overview
- Nova Systems Engineering is seeking a highly technical, hands on Fire Fighting Design Engineer.
- This is an execution focused role where you will directly own the Fire Fighting engineering submittals and drive the design coordination process.
Key Responsibilities
- Personally prepare, compile, and finalize comprehensive Fire Fighting engineering submittal packages—including detailed shop drawings, hydraulic calculation reports, and material compliance data sheets—for consultant and authority review.
- Work directly with internal draftspersons/BIM modelers, providing them with clear layout parameters, schematics, and sizing to ensure Fire Fighting drawings are accurately detailed.
- Execute and validate rigorous Fire Fighting hydraulic analysis, piping network sizing, and pump calculations.
- Represent the company in technical coordination meetings with Main Contractors, Consultants, and Client Representatives for the Fire Fighting engineering designs, and drive technical approvals.
- Ensure all Fire Fighting engineering packages strictly align with NFPA standards and the UAE Fire and Life Safety Code of Practice to facilitate smooth CD (Civil Defence) approvals.
- Perform targeted site visits exclusively for design verification, evaluating structural constraints to coordinate practical Fire Fighting engineering modifications with the project team.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of exclusive Fire Fighting Design and submittal experience within the UAE.
- Proven track record of successfully presenting Fire Fighting designs and securing approvals from major UAE consultants and project engineers.
- Advanced proficiency in validating engineering layouts in AutoCAD/Revit and performing Fire Fighting hydraulic modeling.
- Expert working knowledge of NFPA standards and local Civil Defence regulations.
