Responsibilities
- Install, commission, inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm and life safety systems in line with local regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and project specifications.
- Diagnose and resolve system faults.
- Perform preventive maintenance.
- Update system documentation and prepare service reports.
- Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure timely completion of work.
- Provide basic user training.
- Support safety audits and adhere to all company and site health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Low Voltage Engineering, including wiring practices, panels, and integration with other building systems.
- Demonstrated ability in Troubleshooting and fault diagnosis for fire alarm and related low voltage systems.
- Hands on experience with Alarm Systems and Life Safety equipment, including installation, testing, and maintenance in commercial or industrial settings.
- Effective Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and maintain professional relationships.
- Relevant technical diploma or certificate in electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field; manufacturer or civil defense certifications for fire alarm systems are an advantage.
- Familiarity with UAE fire codes, civil defense requirements, and applicable industry standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system schematics.
- Strong attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and ability to work independently or as part of a team in an on site environment.
- Previous experience as a fire alarm or low voltage technician in building services or HVAC related projects is preferred.
