About the Role
Norton Trading & Maintenance WLL is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician for a full-time, on-site role in Doha, Qatar. The technician will install, test, and commission fire alarm and life safety systems, perform troubleshooting and maintenance, and provide client support.

Responsibilities
- Install, test, and commission fire alarm and related low voltage life safety systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance
- Document service activities and test results
- Respond to service calls and coordinate with project teams
- Interact with clients on site, explain system functions, and provide basic user training
Requirements
- Technical skills in Low Voltage Engineering and Alarm Systems
- Strong Troubleshooting abilities
- Knowledge of Life Safety standards and practices
- Effective Customer Service skills
- Relevant technical diploma, certification, or vocational training in electrical, electronics, or fire alarm systems
- Experience working with fire alarm panels, detectors, notification devices, and related safety equipment is preferred
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system documentation
- Attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and ability to work independently or as part of a field team
- Willingness to work on site across various client locations in Doha and respond to urgent service requirements

Role Description
- Install, test, and commission fire alarm and related low voltage life safety systems in accordance with company standards and local regulations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and document service activities and test results.
- Respond to service calls, coordinate with project teams, and ensure systems remain fully operational and compliant.
- Interact with clients on site, explaining system functions, providing basic user training, and delivering professional customer service.
Qualifications
- Technical skills in Low Voltage Engineering and Alarm Systems for installation, configuration, and commissioning of fire alarm and life safety systems.
- Strong Troubleshooting abilities to identify, diagnose, and resolve system faults and performance issues efficiently.
- Knowledge of Life Safety standards and practices, including relevant codes and regulations for fire protection systems.
- Effective Customer Service skills to interact with clients on site, address concerns, and communicate technical information clearly.
- Relevant technical diploma, certification, or vocational training in electrical, electronics, or fire alarm systems.
- Experience working with fire alarm panels, detectors, notification devices, and related safety equipment is preferred.
