Fintech Finance Analyst

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct financial analysis of fintech products, services, and platforms, evaluating profitability, risks, and growth opportunities
• Develop financial models and forecasts to assess the viability of new fintech projects, including ROI, cost-benefit analysis, and market penetration strategies
• Monitor and report on fintech industry trends, innovations, and market developments to inform strategic decisions
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (technology, operations, marketing) to ensure financial sustainability and profitability of fintech initiatives
• Prepare regular financial reports and dashboards for senior management, focusing on key financial metrics and the performance of fintech projects
• Assist in the development of budgets and financial plans for new fintech ventures, ensuring alignment with overall company goals
• Analyze the financial impact of new payment solutions, blockchain technologies, or digital banking initiatives on our operations
• Evaluate pricing models, revenue streams, and cost structures of fintech products to optimize financial performance
• Provide strategic financial recommendations for product launches, partnerships, and investments in the fintech space
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and industry standards for fintech operations
• Participate in due diligence processes for potential fintech partnerships, acquisitions, or joint ventures

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field
• Proven experience in finance, financial analysis, or financial modeling within the fintech, financial services, or technology sector
• Strong knowledge of fintech trends, payment systems, digital currencies, and blockchain technology
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and accounting software/ERP systems
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage and interpret large volumes of data
• Good communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with financial regulations in the fintech industry (e.g., digital payments, cryptocurrency, PSD2)
• Experience working with digital banking solutions, e-wallets, or blockchain platforms
• Knowledge of cloud-based financial tools and data analytics platforms
• Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or Financial Modeling certifications are a plus
