Finish Prep Material Handler - 3rd shift - $16.40 up to $18.02

Pay Rate: $16.40 Shift Premium & Attendance Bonus: $18.02

Job Summary: Sew rolls of fabric requiring the same finishing process together.

Essential Functions: Perform the following duties according to ISO 9001 work instructions and standards:

• Determine cloth to be plated and pull order according to tickets.
• Arrange tickets to match the order in which fabric is sewn together
• Pull cloth tightly between pins and sew together in straight seams, preventing bow and bias.
• Make sure fabric goes through the frame and folds into buggy or rolls unto T frame without getting twisted. If fabric becomes twisted or something happens to the rollers at the top of the plater, use the ladder provided to reach and correct the problem.
• Move fabric to the next process.
• Work scheduled overtime.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Keep the work area and equipment clean and free from safety hazards. Maintain proper housekeeping.
• Operate equipment properly. Report malfunctions or maintenance concerns to the supervisor.

• Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers.
• Report all job related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
• Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards.
• Safety belt/harness when using PIT.
