As a Financial Services Representative

  • Understand the financial needs of our Members and provide the appropriate advice and recommendations.
  • Complete front line transactional services to support Members day to day banking.
  • Open new accounts, offer credit, deposit, identify opportunities for wealth referrals, and position Meridian’s products and services.
  • Meet and exceed specific individual goals and contribute towards team based business results.
  • Proactively engage in revenue generating and sales based activities, foster and deepen Member relationships and refer business to other channels.

How you will succeed

  • Strong desire for career growth within the financial services industry.
  • Strong business acumen and financial industry knowledge.
  • Flexible to work all scheduled hours which include evenings and weekends.
  • Strong knowledge of computer systems.
  • Ability to make decisions, act decisively and provide friendly and personable service.
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal, written and oral communications skills.
  • Effective organizational time management, and problem solving skills.
  • Embraces virtual technology platforms for use in both Member and Meridian partner meetings.
  • Ability to collaborate with leadership to develop plans and recommendations.
  • Proven track record of bringing new ideas forward.
  • Member Experience focused, with enthusiasm and tenacity to meet and exceed goals.
  • Post secondary education or equivalent work experience in a financial services sales environment an asset.

Salary Range

  • CAD 50,000 to CAD 58,000 annually

Location

  • This role is in office at 486 Parliament Street, Toronto, ON M4X 1P2.
