Overall Job Purpose

  • Oversee the complete financial management for a leading manufacturing company in the Middle East, ensuring asset protection, enhancing financial efficiency, controlling costs, and ensuring compliance with financial and accounting regulations.
  • Provide support to senior management in strategic decision making through accurate financial analysis and comprehensive reporting related to the business portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning and Management: Prepare annual financial plan, oversee budgets, establish policies, provide recommendations.
  • Accounting Management: Oversee accounting entries and financial statements, review monthly/quarterly/annual statements, supervise inventory audits, manage accounts payable/receivable.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Prepare financial and analytical reports, analyze cost variances, evaluate financial performance, prepare cash flow analyses.
  • Cost Control and Optimization: Analyze cost structures, participate in cost reduction strategies, monitor operational expenditures.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with accounting, tax, and governmental regulations, oversee internal and external audits, develop internal control systems.
  • Financial Relationships and Funding: Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions, monitor bank loans, develop cash management strategies.
  • Financial Systems Development: Oversee implementation of financial management systems, ensure integration with operational systems, develop financial analysis tools.

Skills

  • Proficient in computer use and Microsoft Office applications, along with accounting software.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, financial policies, and regulations.
  • Familiarity with other business processes (operations, supply chain, marketing, human resources).
  • Advanced financial analysis skills and deep understanding of financial statements and economic indicators.
  • Strong experience in preparing budgets and strategic financial reports.
  • Ability to develop effective financial policies and improve internal controls.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strategic thinking and decision making capability based on financial analysis.
