Our client a multinational industrial equipment manufacturer is seeking to hire an experienced and commercially minded finance leader to head the UAE Finance function, driving strong financial stewardship, operational excellence, and strategic business partnering across the entity.
This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust governance and controls, effective planning and forecasting, and proactive financial risk management.
The successful candidate will work closely with country leadership and shared services teams to support business growth, performance, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of financial reporting, ensuring integrity and accuracy of the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
- Own the monthly forecasting cycle, annual operating plan, and long-range financial planning processes.
- Provide strategic financial insights and act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
- Partner with commercial and operational teams to translate business objectives into actionable financial plans.
- Drive cost optimisation, productivity initiatives, and scenario analysis to support decision-making.
- Manage financial risks including credit, FX exposure, compliance, and operational controls.
- Ensure compliance with UAE statutory and regulatory requirements, IFRS/US GAAP standards, and internal policies.
- Strengthen the internal control environment and governance framework.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team and foster a culture of accountability, ethics, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
- MBA and/or professional qualification preferred (CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CFA).
- 15+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership in a country/entity finance role.
- Industrial manufacturing background preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
- Hands-on experience with SAP ECC6 and consolidation/reporting tools such as HFM.
- Exposure to analytics and automation tools including Power BI and Power Automate.
- Strong commercial acumen, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
