Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
- Prepare consolidated financial statements, WIP schedules, job cost reporting, and margin analysis
- Support acquisition due diligence, integration activities, and purchase accounting
- Lead and develop accounting team members through training, mentorship, and succession planning
- Strengthen internal controls across accounting, payroll, procurement, and project operations
- Drive ERP and process improvement initiatives to support scalability and growth
- Partner with leadership on strategic planning, capital allocation, and business expansion
- Provide financial insights for project selection, bidding strategies, profitability analysis, and resource planning
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience leading accounting teams and developing staff
- Strong financial reporting and consolidation experience
- Expertise in job cost accounting, WIP reporting, and project based accounting
- Experience supporting acquisitions, integration activities, or multi entity organizations
- Strong understanding of internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- ERP system experience; exposure to Jonas considered an asset
