Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Inventory Accounting
- Manage and approve all journal entries and account reconciliations
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Manage intercompany accounting and multi entity consolidations
- Oversee daily cash management activities and banking relationships
- Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
- Monitor inventory valuation, reserves, obsolescence, and inventory controls
- Design, implement, and maintain effective internal controls
- Serve as primary liaison with external auditors and tax advisors
- Oversee federal, state, and local tax compliance
- Recruit, manage, mentor, and develop accounting and finance personnel
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's preferred
- Active CPA license required
- Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- Minimum 3 years in a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Finance Management role
- Experience within beauty, fragrance, cosmetics, luxury goods, consumer products, or retail industries strongly preferred
- Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Experience with multi entity accounting and intercompany transactions
- Strong inventory accounting and cost accounting experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with ERP platforms such as NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or similar

Position Summary
- Fragrance Du Bois is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Financial Controller to lead and oversee all accounting, financial reporting, compliance, treasury, and financial planning activities for its U.S. operations.
- Reporting directly to senior leadership, the Financial Controller will play a critical role in supporting the company's growth strategy.
- The ideal candidate will have extensive experience within the luxury, beauty, fragrance, cosmetics, or consumer goods sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Inventory Accounting.
- Manage and approve all journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Manage intercompany accounting and multi entity consolidations.
- Oversee daily cash management activities and banking relationships.
- Develop and maintain short term and long term cash flow forecasts.
- Monitor liquidity requirements and optimize working capital management.
- Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
- Develop rolling financial forecasts and scenario analyses.
- Partner with department leaders to evaluate spending, profitability, and investment opportunities.
- Provide executive management with meaningful financial insights and recommendations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
- Minimum 3 years in a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Finance Management role.
- Experience within beauty, fragrance, cosmetics, luxury goods, consumer products, or retail industries strongly preferred.
