Role Description

  • The Financial Controller role at UAE HOTEL CAREERS is a part time hybrid position based in Dubai, with a mix of on site work at partner hotel locations and remote tasks from home.
  • The Financial Controller will oversee accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and prepare timely financial statements for hotel entities.
  • Day to day responsibilities include monitoring budgets, analyzing variances, reviewing revenue and expense trends, and supporting month end and year end closing activities.
  • The role also involves maintaining internal controls, coordinating with auditors, and providing financial insights to support strategic decisions and operational efficiency.
  • The Financial Controller will collaborate with hotel management, finance teams, and other stakeholders to improve processes and uphold compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Accounting and Finance, with a solid understanding of hotel or service industry financial operations.
  • Candidates should possess experience in preparing Financial Statements and managing Financial Reporting in line with applicable standards.
  • Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide clear recommendations.
  • Relevant academic background such as a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) are an advantage.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel, including financial modeling and reporting tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a part time, hybrid work arrangement.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross functional and multicultural teams in Dubai.
  • Knowledge of UAE financial regulations and hospitality industry practices is preferred.
