The Financial Controller is a part-time, hybrid role based in Abu Dhabi with flexibility for some work from home.
The role oversees financial operations and provides financial guidance for event and operational planning.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial statements, maintain accounting records, and ensure policy and standards compliance.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and regular financial reporting.
- Analyze financial performance and provide insights for leadership decision-making.
- Coordinate with external accountants and auditors.
- Recommend improvements to financial processes and controls.
- Support event and operational planning with sound financial guidance.
Qualifications
- Strong accounting and finance skills, including accounting principles and finance fundamentals.
- Ability to prepare, review, and interpret financial statements and perform financial reporting.
- Analytical skills for budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and decision support.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, financial software, data, and basic reporting tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in a controller, finance manager, or similar role in a small organization, nonprofit, or community is beneficial.
- Attention to detail, integrity, independent work ability, and effective communication skills.
